Who Hates Capitalism?

by Kevin D. Freeman on April 29, 2012

There are a host of players around the globe that despise the American free market approach. Some of them are right here in the land of the free and home of the brave. A good example is Weather Underground Founding Member, Bill Ayers. Here’s what NPR says about Ayers (http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=95442902):

Ayers, a founding member of the radical anti-Vietnam War group known as the Weathermen, and later as the Weather Underground. The group’s goal was to disrupt the war effort by bombing government buildings, such as the Pentagon and the U.S. Capitol. The FBI labeled the now-defunct Weather Underground a “domestic terrorist group.” Authorities suspected the group of planting a bomb at a San Francisco police station in 1970; the blast killed one police officer and seriously injured another, but no charges were ever filed in the case. In most of the bombings the group claimed responsibility for, the explosions only damaged buildings; no one was killed or injured in those. After Ayers left the group, members of the Weather Underground were linked to a 1981 Brink’s armored truck robbery in which two police officers and a security guard were killed. The federal government did file charges against Ayers and other members of the group related to their bombing activities.  In the ’70s, Ayers went into hiding with his wife, Weathermen co-founder Bernardine Dohrn, and they left the radical group. They resurfaced in Chicago around 1980, after federal charges against them were dropped.

Here’s a quote from The New York Times published interestingly on September 11, 2001 (http://www.nytimes.com/2001/09/11/books/no-regrets-for-love-explosives-memoir-sorts-war-protester-talks-life-with.html?pagewanted=all):

”I don’t regret setting bombs,” Bill Ayers said. ”I feel we didn’t do enough.” Mr. Ayers, who in 1970 was said to have  summed up the Weatherman philosophy as:  ”Kill all the rich people.  Break up their cars and apartments. Bring the revolution home, kill your parents, that’s where it’s really at,” is today distinguished professor of education at the University of Illinois at Chicago. And he says he doesn’t actually remember suggesting that rich people be killed or that people kill their parents, but ”it’s been quoted so many times I’m beginning to think I did,” he said. ”It was a joke about the distribution of wealth.”

So, Ayers has a radical past and was labeled a domestic terrorist by the FBI.  So what does this retired Chicago professor say about Capitalism? He says that he wakes up every morning hoping to destroy it.

Bill Ayers is not alone, especially in either the Academic Community or in the United States. Basically, the destruction of capitalism is the desire of the Occupy movement, where Bill Ayers was caught on video (http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2012/03/04/SEIU-lerner-Occupy).

Of course, that’s just the Americans who want Capitalism to be destroyed. The scarier part is that they are aligning with radical elements around the world. We have already explained that the United States is in an economic war with Iran. What is most disturbing is that the Iranians appear to be connecting with our own domestic free-market haters.

US Professors Attend an Occupy Wall Street Conference in Tehran.

When you couple this with the realization that some leading Shariah Compliant Finance scholars want to see capitalism end as well, you get an idea of how serious this really is. By themselves, some 60s hippies and radical leftist professors are a possible irritant. Add in trillions of Sovereign Wealth Funds and other funds committed to Shariah Compliant Finance and you have a major problem. It gets worse with the addition of a nation-state that is essentially at war with us, hosting the Occupy Movement and committed to Shariah.

As we have explained in the book Secret Weapon, Shariah Compliant Funds represent a large and growing pool of money. Leading scholars are hoping to see capitalism destroyed. Perhaps the most influential is Yusuf al Qaradawi (http://www.shariahfinancewatch.org/blog/2012/03/26/sheikh-yusuf-al-qaradawi-banned-from-france/). As we noted recently, even Gulf News is concerned that Shariah Compliant Finance is “too dependent” on Shariah scholars (http://globaleconomicwarfare.com/2012/04/sharia-finance-too-dependent-on-personalities/). Translation:  Shariah Scholars have too much leeway to implement their own ideas rather than conforming to standards. Sadly, these scholars will now be emboldened further by leftist professors intent on Capitalism’s destruction.

The Occupy movement has already warned us about May 1st . A partial list of public plans can be found here: http://occupywallst.org/article/nyc-full-schedule-permitted-and-unpermitted-may-da/. It will be important to watch how this develops. It certainly seems in line with Iran’s threat to use Secret Weapons.

In an interview with the Fars News Agency today, Iranian Defense Minister Ahmad Vahidi claimed that Iran is in possession of secret weapons along with top-secret capabilities that could be used to confront the United States.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran has many hidden capabilities, which are kept for rainy days,” Vahidi said in the interview. “We have not yet revealed all our capabilities.”

“Iran is not a nation to sit still and just observe threats from fragile materialist powers which are being eaten by worms from inside,” Ayatollah Khamenei told students at a Tehran military college at the time.

“Iran will respond with full force to any aggression or even threats in a way that will demolish the aggressors from within,” he added.

Is anyone here listening? Does anyone care?
